Windows Media Player是微軟公司出品的一款免費媒體播放器，通常簡稱「WMP」，又稱「WMPlayer」。內建Windows作業系統中，也可以透過網路下載，支援通過外掛程式增強軟體功能。從Windows Media Player 7及以後的版本支援更換介面外觀。
概述
軟體可打開MP3、WMA、WAV、AVI、WMV、MPEG-1、MPEG-2、DVD等格式的檔案。同時允許使用者從CD抓取音軌並複製到硬碟、燒錄CD以及安裝各種外掛程式等。此外，軟體內建WindowsMedia.com線上服務。
由於競爭關係，軟體默認不支援播放RM格式的檔案。
產品問題
Windows Media Player 11只支援Windows XP Service Pack 2或以後的版本，不再支援Windows 2000或更舊版本的視窗環境。其次，Windows Media Player 11由於需要正版驗證，在剛推出時，在部份筆記本電腦上的OEM版Windows XP裡不能執行，甚至會顯示「你可能是盜版軟體的受害者」。有關問題在2007年3月的更新後已改善。另外，軟體有部份介面還存在有翻譯上的錯誤。
